RiverRock

RiverRock, as of 2023, was the only “unbuilt” Frank Lloyd Wright design that still had its original building site available. To understand how important that is, Wright oriented the design around a specific poplar tree. That tree was marked at the time and still stands today.

In 2023, The Dykstra's set out to build this last commission. The mission was to build with the intent of Mr. Wright; the mandate to the professionals involved: “If you must change something due to code, products, etc., do so under the ‘skin’ so it looks exactly the same”. With that said, the original plans, with supplemental structural engineering drawings, were submitted for permitting and approved in June 2023. The professionals delivered, and we are now proud to present RiverRock, a beautiful 2024 Frank Lloyd Wright build from 1959 plans.
